Introducing Bravely Default Makers Next RPG, Monster Takt

We’ve been seeing a few new monster-collecting RPGs lately, with Level-5’s ghostly Pokémon-like Youkai Watch for the Nintendo 3DS, and GungHo Online’s Puzzles & Dragons Z, with its evolving dragons. The latest of the collecting and evolution trend is an upcoming mobile game called Monster Takt, by Bravely Default: Flying Fairy makers Silicon Studio.

The world in Monster Takt is now desolate because of the revival of the Demon Lord. The monsters who co-existed with mankind have sprouted evil hearts and begun to attack humans. The youths who’ve acquired the ability to calm the corrupt hearts of these monsters and control them with their mysterious Takt, start their adventures to defeat the Demon Lord with the help of their new comrades.

The goal of the game is to create the strongest team by gathering powerful monsters who will be helping you out in the battlefield. The key to success is knowing your monsters and their attributes to put them in the most advantageous strategic positions against your enemies.

By collecting rubies, you can use them to evolve your monsters into much more powerful forms, although they will revert back to Lv. 01.

When Ryu And Darkstalkers Lilith Clash With The Onimusha Universe

A new challenger has arrived in Onimusha Soul, Capcom's browser based Onimusha game with cards representing characters from the entire series. Ryu shows up in a dream story as a fiend for players to fight. Your reward for defeating Ryu is a pair of zori (Japanese sandals) and he joins your group as a warlord.

Final Fantasy V Gets quot;Dimensions quot; Style Make Over For iOS And Android

Instead of giving Final Fantasy V a full 3D remake, Square Enix is porting the Game Boy Advance version to iOS and Android. Final Fantasy V Advance added new bosses like Enuo and four job classes: Necromancer, Cannoneer, Oracle, and Gladiator.

'

The smartphone re-release has all of the Advance content and modified graphics. Illustrations from Yoshitaka Amano replace the character portraits, which is a nice touch. However, the sprites which look kind of like Final Fantasy Dimensions look out of place to me. Perhaps, I'm too used to the original Super Famicom release. Here are some comparison screenshots.

I wonder which version of Siren will be in Final Fantasy V for iOS and Android…

Final Fantasy V will be available for iOS at the end of March. The Android version is slated for summer.
